Jane is one of the country's leading
Harpists, specialising in event entertaining. She holds the rare distinction
of a Premier Prix for Harp from the Brussels Conservatoire and an MA from
Cambridge University. Jane has played with all of this country's leading
orchestras, including The London Symphony Orchestra (under Leonard Bernstein),
The Royal Opera House Covent Garden (under Bernard Haitink) and the BBC
orchestras in Scotland and Wales. She has.frequently been seen on television
with Winchester Cathedral Choir, Westminster Abbey Choir and in the BBC's
'Songs of Praise'. In costume, she appeared in BBC TV's 'Vanity Fair',
and her playing has graced many film and television soundtracks.
Much of
Jane's reputation is based on her skills in the light entertainment field.
Elton John, George Harrison, Billy Connolly, Ravi Shankar and Barry Humphries
have all invited her to play at events they have hosted, and she has recorded
with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sarah Brightman and Lesley Garrett. Jane has
played for celebrity weddings (Gazza!), fashion shows (Caroline Charles
and the Emmanuels), Bride Magazine and Libertys. She has played at The
Savoy Hotel, Goodwood House, The Dorchester, Spencer House and Castle Ashby
as well as The Chelsea Flower Show, Ascot and royal events at St.James's
and Kensington Palaces.
